Vira Health, the company behind specialist online menopause care provider Stella, today announces the launch of the Vira Health Member Zone. This new global employee health benefits platform is designed for the complex challenges people face, offering comprehensive care and support for key life stages.
Women's health has a direct impact on the workplace; research shows that 30% of women consider quitting or have quit their jobs due to menopause symptoms, 47% of women say health symptoms affect their performance at work and 57% of employees have taken or might take a new job for better reproductive health benefits.
Available to employers in more than 100 countries and 20 languages, the platform is designed to close the gap between the health challenges employees face and the support available to them in traditional channels. The Vira Health Member Zone is built to address these challenges at a global scale, combining expert-led educational information with online events, virtual appointments, care advocacy and a specialist referral network worldwide. The multilingual platform covers hormonal health, fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, parenting, menopause and specialised men's health topics.
Global companies are increasingly demanding benefit parity across their employee base. The Vira Health Member Zone brings the best of global specialists and local practitioners to help people understand their conditions, treatment options and make informed decisions on next steps.
Andrea Berchowitz, Co-founder, Vira Health, said:
"We started Vira Health because the healthcare system failed women at some of the most significant moments of their lives. Employers have a real opportunity to change that and a real business reason to act. The Vira Health Member Zone gives organisations a single, trusted platform that supports their people from decisions about contraception through to menopause and beyond. The fact that we can do that in more than 20 languages, with clinical rigour, is what sets us apart. When people feel supported in their health at work, they can perform at their best."
Dr Rebecca Love, Co-founder, Vira Health, said:
"Unmet health needs cost employers in absence, productivity and retention — and for too long, the solutions on offer have been English-centric and designed around a single cultural context. The Vira Health Member Zone changes that. Every piece of content, every care interaction, and every clinician we bring in is designed to meet employees where they are — in their language, in their country, at every life stage from fertility to menopause to parenting. We are applying the same clinical standards that built Stella's reputation, at the scale that global employers need."
Philip Mullen, Vice-president, EMEA TELUS Health, said:
"At TELUS Health, we are committed to giving employers the tools they need to support their workforce wherever they are in the world. Being able to offer the Vira Health Member Zone through our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) means our clients can now provide specialist, clinically rigorous support for the health challenges that matter most to their workforce. This is what meaningful benefit parity looks like in practice."
The Vira Health Member Zone is available to employers globally from today.
